There is no account, no ads, and no tracking. Your puppy's profile, weights, vaccines and milestones never leave your device. The one exception is feedback you choose to send us — see below.
Northpup is a local-first app. Everything you enter — your dog's profile, weight log, vaccine records, milestones and completed tasks — is stored only in the app's private storage on your iPhone. We never transmit that data, because Northpup has no server for it.
For normal use of the app: nothing. Northpup has no account system, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no tracking. Your pup's records are never uploaded. The only time any data leaves your device is when you deliberately send us feedback.
Northpup includes an in-app feedback tool (Settings ▸ "Help shape Northpup", or shake your phone to report a bug). It's entirely optional. When — and only when — you tap Send, the app transmits to our feedback service (api.aiappnation.com):
This information is used solely to read, answer and act on your feedback. It is never used to track you, never sold, and never shared for advertising. If you never open the feedback tool, none of this is ever sent.
Because this data lives only on your device, deleting the app removes it. It is included in your encrypted device backups if you have those enabled through Apple — that backup is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.
Northpup Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. When you subscribe, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple — we never see or store your name, card, or Apple ID. We receive only the anonymous subscription status Apple provides so the app can unlock Pro features. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
If you allow notifications, Northpup schedules gentle local reminders (for example, a vaccine coming due) directly on your device. These are local notifications — no push server, no data sent anywhere.
Northpup is designed for adult puppy owners and is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no personal data, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If a future version of Northpup ever changes how data is handled, we will update this page and the app's privacy manifest before that version ships, and note the change date above.
